Pottery Lesson Options

  • For individuals or groups of 2–3. No experience necessary!

    ✹ Have you always wanted to dig your hands into clay and learn the meditative art of throwing on the wheel? This relaxed, hands-on lesson is the perfect introduction to pottery. You'll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including wedging, centering, coning, dropping and pulling, shaping, and glazing.

    ✹ All materials are included, and everything you choose to keep will be fired. After your pottery has been bisque fired, you're welcome to return to glaze it in the studio or glaze it at home. Visiting from out of town? No problem—I can glaze your pieces for you and ship them after the final firing (shipping costs apply).

    Duration: 1–4 hours
    Price: $50 per person, per hour

    ✹ Looking for a fun, hands-on activity with friends or family? In this relaxed group class, you'll learn the fundamentals of handbuilding while creating your own pinch pot bud vase, cup, or bowl. It's the perfect way to slow down, get creative, and enjoy time together.

    ✹ All materials are included, and everything you choose to keep will be fired in our electric kiln. After your pottery has been bisque fired, you're welcome to return to glaze it in the studio or glaze it at home. Visiting from out of town? No problem—I can glaze your pieces for you and ship them after the final firing (shipping costs apply).

  • For groups of 4–10. No experience necessary!

    ✹ Looking for a unique group experience? In this hands-on class, everyone will have the chance to explore both wheel throwing and handbuilding. You'll learn the basics of throwing on the wheel, then create a pinch pot bud vase, cup, or bowl using handbuilding techniques. It's a fun, relaxed way to experience two different sides of pottery in one session.
